I was thinking about how most vehicles in the LEGO City line are inaccurate because the driver's seats don't have passengers sets next to them. This common family car is a representation of what I wish most LEGO City vehicles would be like.

Custom Heroica Lands

Recently, I've explored the world of Heroica. The different Heroes found in the sets reminds me of the different Classes in most medieval MMORPGs, such as the mighty Warrior (represented as the Axe-wielding Barbarian hero), and the powerful Mage (represented as the Wand-toting Wizard hero.)
I was inspired by the LEGO Heroica sets to build two small custom lands for Heroica.

In the Desert of Despair, giant golden scorpions (level 2) lurk in the ruins of an ancient civilization.

In the Seldaan Village Market, Heroes can take a break from fighting monsters and chill with other heroes. Behind a fortified gate is the Cauldron of Refilling, where Heroes can replenish used potions.

During the Great Coal Shortage in the Steampunk Universe, various military organizations scrambled to control coal mines. In order to dispatch combat vehicles at a faster rate, lighter Steam Tanks were created, along with a railway transport system so the fuel source of the combat vehicle wouldn't be depleted. The engines of the transport trains were given an enhanced internal boiling system that reduced waste. Unfortunately, transport trains became targeted by enemies of the military organization the trains were affiliated with, so the combat vehicle cargo would have to be unloaded and reloaded at different intervals.

When I built it, I was inspired by an idea book for Pre-9V LEGO trains.

It is October 31st, and you know what that means! Tricks, treats, and scary fun!I've built another MOC for Halloween, this time it is based on the Adventurers and Pharaoh's Quest LEGO themes.

Who's the adventurer coming out of the tent? Is it Johnny Thunder? No wait, it is none other than Harry Cane in a Johnny Thunder costume!

Deep in the Egyptian desert, several adventurers celebrate Halloween while on their expedition!
Mac McCloud bobs for apples while some of the other adventurers have a chat. They plan on trick-or-treating, but instead of collecting candy, they'll be collecting ancient treasure! ;-)

Some of the adventurers wonder where Jake Raines and Johnny Thunder are ...

Meanwhile ... down below the desert floor ...

Sam Sinister has gained control of the Crystal of the Dead, granting him supernatural powers. He has brought some evil treasure hunters back to life, who attack Johnny Thunder and Jake Raines.

Sam Sinister unleashes another undead tomb robber, who prepares to make a deadly strike! Will Jake Raines dodge the ambush in time?

Papercutz has announced a book series based on LEGO NinjaGo, the author of which being none other than Greg Farshtey, one of the people who developed the Bionicle canon.Read the full story here.

To me, NinjaGo is kind of like the Minifigure version of Bionicle. Think about it; power-wielding characters based on different elements (like the Toa), complete with a toy combat game (done at different times in Bionicle), with a quest to search for mystical items.

Also, screenshots of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 have popped up here.

LEGO Halloween vignette -- The Monster under the Bed, based on early childhood fears. I couldn't decide between the opposing Vampire and Werewolf factions, so I just went for a generic monster theme for this vignette.

Jack used to be afraid of the monster under his bed when he was 5 years old, but since then he grew up and believed the monster was imaginary. Now, it has come back to haunt him.

We all know of the world renowned Minifigure adventurer, Johnny Thunder, and we've all seen his treasure-hunting expeditions through exotic places.
What we haven't seen is the place where our hero retires when planning his next adventure ... Until now.

Johnny Thunder's office at World Magazine doubles as a study. Unlike some of the other offices in World Magazine, Mr. Thunder doesn't have to deal with boring paperwork,
he only gets paperwork of the ancient kind.

Near Johnny's work desk is a framed photo of his first big-time adventure in Egypt. Behind the desk is a bookshelf filled with books recommended by Dr. Kilroy, which cover a wide variety of subjects.

In the center of the office is Johnny's personal globe. He likes to sit around the globe with friends to pick and choose his next "vacation" destination.

Story description:

"When the Black Fantasy Corps invaded Earth, brave engineers, inventors and scientists formed the Mech Corps. Giving it a lime color-scheme in reference to his previous Mechs, Brains named his new creation the LiMech. With state-of-the-art servo technology and a specially designed laser machine gun, Brains challenges the Black Fantasy Corps threat head-on."

The Tripod SteamFort is one of the Steam Armada's strongest castles. A walking landmark, the Tripod SteamFort serves as an outpost for soldiers and a meeting place for those who have an appointment with Steam Armada officials.

A professor who is a passenger of Captain Steamheart's Flying Boat has an important conference with the baron regarding an ancient legend.

Hey fellow LEGO fans! I recently built a Steampunk Robo Camel for a contest. Steampunk is a very popular fan-made LEGO theme, next to Post-Apocalypse.

Here is the description of my MOC:

"During the 12th Century in the Steampunk Universe, Italian adventurer Marco Polo encounters an inventor while journeying across the Afghanistan section of the Silk Road for the first time. The inventor, also a merchant, sells goods atop his huge steam-powered robot camel. A gear system at the bottom of the camel is what moves the legs in synchronized order. Marco Polo was able to write about the inventor and the robot camel in his journal shortly before continuing his journey to China. The Steampunk Robot Camel has become one of the most popular history subjects in the Steampunk Universe, and it is currently on display in the Steam-powered Robots Museum."

Hi fellow LEGO fans! Recently, LEGO Digital Designer has received a massive parts update! Now, there are plenty of parts found in LEGO Atlantis Sets to build with in LDD! There are also other parts new to LDD, such as cutlasses and gold goblets! :-D

I was able to build an Atlantis-themed LDD Creation that I call the Marine Cruiser! :-D

On BZPower, LEGO showed this video to one of the Admins, who showed it publicly.

I've decided to Embed the Hero Factory Teaser Trailer from the channel of a YouTube user named ShieldOfAges onto my blog to show you.

According to some sources, the Hero Factory line won't have an epic story like Bionicle did, but will have more of a flexible story so that Builders would have to use their own imagination more. Seems fine with me! However, the Hero Factory protagonists are just plain really advanced robots, unlike how all of the characters in Bionicle were bio-mechanical beings (basically steampunk cyborgs). Which is ... Okay, but I prefer Bionicle as it had a more unique story.

Hi brick bloggers! Here are a few pics of some of the things that I built during the Holiday months!

I built this from the Neptune Mini-Sub set that came with my new Brickmaster magazine.

I used the Christmas tree model from the Winter Toy Shop that I received for the Holidays in this one.
The MOC is supposed to represent the going of the previous year and the arrival of the next year.

A silly little thing I made while experimenting with my bricks.

An android detective inspired by an episode of a cartoon called "Samurai Jack" which featured a robot gangster.

(I used a free trial of Photoshop for this one. Turns out I like what I already had better)

I also uploaded this to the LEGO Universe creation Lab!

A high-tech version of Santa's sleigh that I built at the beginning of December 2009. I can't imagine how Santa is able to deliver presents to good kids all over the world in one night with just eight flying reindeer. His sleigh and the reindeer must obviously be equipped with faster-than-light boosters. ;-)

The Brickster had escaped from jail and robbed a bank! Fortunately, Pepper Roni and Sky Lane Jane chased down the Brickster on the LEGO Island highway and deconstructed his car! Officer Nick Brick arrived just in time to arrest the Brickster and returned the money to the bank! All is well .... For now .....

In Fall 2009, a LEGO video game called LEGO Rock Band will be released. The game will be like other musical video games -- you hook up a musical instrument game controller and play music, BUT with a LEGO twist!

Besides rocking out, you can customize the minifigs in the band and the minifigs who support the band.

Even though LEGO Universe is launching 2010, at least we can use the luanch delay as an excuse to buy this.

Highly unexpected news

The LEGO company has recently delayed the planned launch of the LEGO MMOG known as LEGO Universe! The reason for this is because LEGO is launching a whole bunch of cool LEGO Products in 2009 and they didn't think LEGO Universe would get the attention it deserves. However; the extra time will be used to make LEGO Universe even better!

This is a bitter sweet experience for me. The bitter part of it is that it is going to take even longer for LEGO Universe to come out. The sweet part of it is that this will give to a chance to do other things so that I won't have to worry about LEGO Universe coming so soon.

Hopefully it comes out at least in 2010.

When the first Thunder Driller is damaged in an rock slide, the Power Miners team build a temporary replacement! Built in a smaller scale with a Star Wars windshield and a titanium drill, this little brother version of the Thunder Driller means business!

Upgrades to the Power Miners Mine Mech!

When I first received the Power Miners Mine Mech, I thought it was very cool and Exo-Force like, but it was also very very skimpy. So I added upgrades to the Mine Mech so that it will last longer against a dozen or so pesky rock monsters! Instead of a spinner that isn't good at drilling; I added a normal PM drill! The I noticed that the claws could use some more work; so I made them more dangerous. The legs and arms I improved plus I added a few defenses in-case a Boulderax rock monster shows up.

Remember: If you think that an instructions-followed model needs some work, don't be afraid to add a few extra pieces from your collection.

The lab ...... Where jack frost works to stop global warming ..... His special radar dish (last pic) gives the computer at right information about how much of the Arctic Tundra is left ...... Because he was able to rescue the Polar Bear at picture 1 thanks to information from his computer.

This is the bridge, radar station, and snowmobile repair center! The radar dish receives information for the lab (coming next photo). If the dish is broken, Jack Frost would use the bridge to walk up to it and fix it! The snow-mobile repair center is under the bridge (You probably guessed this because of the tools there).

This is the inside of the castle! It features a little dining room at top (with ice cream), below the dining room is his bed (the table in which the clock sets upon is frozen), below that is Jack Frost's lab (more on that later)!

Because a really old artifact has been discovered! The profile and sticker part of my ancient Club Page!

Looking at my forgotten online LEGO Club sticker display, I notice a seen of the famous Mini-figure adventurer Johnny Thunder taking down his enemy Sam Sinister while Johnny's friends find the lost treasure! Oh yeah plus there is a Dino Attack/Dino 2010 chopper in the background .... Wait one minute! The treasure chest on my old Club Page looks like the one my viking cave had! O_o

Good and Bad things of LEGO BATMAN

The review may have been hard to process, so I carved it right down to the easy to digest good and bad technique!
Good:
* LEGO BATMAN Mini-Figs to play as, plus characters that a Mini-Fig of them has not been made.
* You can build with LEGO Bricks.
* Different suits for our heroes, like BATMAN'S Glide suit and ROBIN'S Water suit, plus more.
* Different abilities for characters like super strength, immunity to toxic liquids and gases, plus more.
* You can interact with the environment by climbing, pulling levers, pushing boxes, plus more.
* You can battle enemies without the gore some non LEGO games.
* Puzzles to tease your brain.
* Things to collect.
* Story or freeplay modes of gameplay.
* Buy things like character, upgrades, plus more.
* Create custom characters using parts from other characters.
Bad:
* Puzzles can be so hard to figure out to the point were it is illogical.
* You do not choose what you build.
* Not enough bad things to be make this list more even.
Remember, THIS GAME WAS NOT MADE BY ME, so don't go asking me how to get it from me because I did not make it!

A review for LEGO BATMAN THE VIDEO GAME

Like the LEGO STAR WARS and LEGO INDIANA JONES games, LEGO BATMAN is a great addition to your game collection. It is a great addition even if you don't have a collection, well, onto the review.
Like past games, this game has a co-op player drop in or drop out style of gameplay if you have friends over.
While playing as Mini-Fig Batman and his allies or Batman's foes, you can battle your way through tons of enemies, without all that gore other games have (the enemies are plastic after all). You can build with virtual Bricks! Unfortunately, you can't control what model they become, but I think that this is time saving. You can collect many items like in the past games! These items are 1x1 round plates called "Studs", hidden canisters that you collect to build mini-models called "Mini-Kits", plus Bricks that give you upgrades or cheats called "Power Bricks". These items were found in the LEGO STAR WARS and LEGO INDIANA JONES games, except the ones in LEGO Indy were called different things. Studs are actually the little nubby things found on top of LEGO Bricks, which doesn't make any sense for a 1x1 round plate to be called that.
You can use 1x1 round plates to buy things like characters, Batman facts, Power Brick abilities plus more. When you play the levels, you may encounter something that includes thought. Yes, puzzles and tricks may tease your brain throughout the levels. When you beat a story level, you may do it again in free play to collect the collectible items you probably could not get when playing the story levels. Another great thing about gameplay is that the levels are not based on the movies, they have stories of their own. Which means that they don't have to be accurate to the movies. You might have seen a part or two that wasn't accurate to the movies in the past games, so when playing this game you don't have to shout "Hey, that never happened in the movies! [Insert movie character name here] never did that!"
It all boils down to the results; if you don't like LEGO or BATMAN, you should not buy this.

CrystAlien Conflict: Special Ops

A new site on LEGO.com called "My LEGO Network" launched after the BETA TEST period was over. Beta Testers had a chance to test MLN before it was even out, and I was one of them!

If you sign up for the recently-tested fully-functional MLN, you can Build Modules for your page, collect stickers and little sounds called "Loops" ... not to mention that you can even trade virtual items!

LEGO Indiana Jones video game coming out

Some of you may already know this, but there will be a video game based on the LEGO Indiana Jones sets. The game will let you play through out the first three Indiana Jones movies (Raiders Of the Lost Ark, Temple Of Doom, The Last Crusade, etc.).

According to the game trailer, found on the Indy site on LEGO.com, the gameplay is similar to LEGO Star Wars II (Which makes sense, since both are made by the same company).
